如何画 Looking Over the Shoulder 姿势
Read this figure as a spiral. The hips face away, the ribcage turns partway round, and the neck and head complete the rotation so the face appears in three-quarter view over the left shoulder. No single joint does all the work; each segment adds its share. That is why it looks natural, and why copying only the head turn never does.
The front view is the shot this pose is built for, because the figure stands with its back to that camera. From there you see the spine curling as it twists, the left shoulder drawn back and the right one coming forward, and the face peeking past the left shoulder. Study the shoulder blades: the left one slides toward the spine while the right one wraps out around the ribs, and those two unlike shapes are what make the back look turned rather than flat. Walking the camera through the side and three-quarter views shows how much each segment rotates, and the back view shows the chest the figure is turning away from; together they are the fastest way to understand the twist.
The usual errors all cheat the spiral. Rotating only the head asks the neck for more than it can give, and the result looks like an owl. Shoulders left parallel to the hips flatten everything out. Losing the shoulder blade shapes leaves a blank board instead of a back. Before adding any detail, draw the hip line and the shoulder line as two ellipses at clearly different angles.
This figure carries story: a character leaving and glancing back, someone hearing a sound behind them, a mysterious stranger in a noir panel, or a classic portrait with the face framed by the shoulder. The high angle makes it intimate, the low angle more dramatic. In the editor, ease the head back a few degrees and drop the chin for a shy glance, or rotate the ribcage further for a sharper, startled look.
