How to draw the Overhead Arm Heart pose

three-quarter view
side view
back view
high-angle view
Here the whole arm draws the outline. Each upper arm lifts high and wide from the shoulder, the elbow bends sharply, and the forearm slants inward and upward so the two open hands meet in a peak above the head. The fingers stay straight and together, palms tipped down toward the crown. The bent elbows bulge out as the two rounded lobes, and the head sits inside the loop. Because the arms go so high, the collarbones tilt up and the shoulders shrug toward the ears; the upper back arches a little and the chin lifts a few degrees. The legs stand relaxed with the weight on the right leg, posed in the file but cropped out of the waist-up images.
Block the arm loop as one closed shape before you touch the torso. From the front, check that both elbows sit at the same height, a little outside and above the shoulder line. In the three-quarter view the far forearm hides behind the head and shortens. The side view, taken from the figure's left, collapses the loop into a near-vertical column that covers most of the head, which tells you how far forward the hands lean. The low angle makes the forearms dominate with the face small beneath them; the high angle looks down onto the hands and crown with the elbows flared like wings. Draw each hand as a flat paddle with the thumb lying along its edge, and let the two paddles overlap at the tips.
More on angles and common mistakes
Watch out for straight elbows, which turn the heart into a triangle or a cheering Y; for hands that hover with a gap above the head; and for shoulders left low, which makes the upper arms look too long. The arms overhead heart pose works for K-pop fan moments, sports celebrations in the stands, wedding guest snapshots and cheerful profile images.
In Edit this pose, bend both elbows further and lower the hands until the palms rest flat on top of the head. The heart becomes smaller and rounder, and the shrug in the shoulders can relax.
