How to draw the Blowing a Kiss pose

three-quarter view
side view
back view
high-angle view
The right elbow stays low and close in front of the ribs, and the forearm angles forward and up so the hand floats about 20 cm ahead of the lips instead of touching them. The wrist bends back to turn the palm toward the ceiling. The four fingers lie almost straight with small gaps between them, and the thumb opens beside the index finger, so the hand looks like a little tray tipped toward the viewer. The left arm folds across the body: elbow near the left side, forearm angled inward, palm pressed flat against the middle of the chest with the fingertips aiming at the right shoulder. The head faces straight ahead, level and lifted a little. Out of frame, the legs are posed as well, weight settled on the right leg and the left knee eased forward.
The kissing hand is the hard part, because it is foreshortened in most of the six views. From the front the palm is seen nearly edge-on and the fingertips stack toward you; block the palm as a thin tilted box first and hang the fingers off its far edge. The three-quarter view, taken from the figure's front-left, shows the full length of the right forearm and how far the hand travels ahead of the face. From the left side the raised hand partly hides behind the head, so use that angle to study the left forearm lying across the chest. The low angle lifts the palm above the chin, and the high angle makes the gap between lips and fingertips easy to read.
More on angles and common mistakes
Typical slips: resting the fingertips on the lips, which turns the gesture into a shush; raising the right elbow to shoulder height, which reads as a wave; curling the chest hand into a claw instead of keeping it long and relaxed with the thumb along the index finger. The mannequin has no hair or clothing; add imagined hair past the shoulder if needed.
As a blowing a kiss pose it fits farewell scenes on a train platform, curtain calls and greeting cards. In Edit this pose, bend the right wrist a little further back and open the elbow a few degrees so the hand drifts outward, as if the kiss has just left the fingertips; keep the head still so the line from lips to palm stays clear.
